hello!

I am a recent graduate and for the past 7 months have been working in sales in central London.

I have been very keen to get on into communications, marketing and still a bit of sales.  I'm an all rounder and a team player,  and i really like to push on a business.

I have recently been getting into home mods and have through my own exp living in my parents house which is kitted out with wizz kid technology that can power this baby to the moon if needs be, on as little energy as could be found in a tea spoon of sugar!  it is so eco friendly! Digressing

I would love to get into renewable energy communications and spread the word,  working on projects,  planning etc. I'm fascinated by the "can do" attitude of people in this industry,  and the innovativeness through which they implement their plans.

What is the best way to get into this line of work???

Alexandra

Seen something like this before my friend. Unfortunately they write these things into your contract, they have an obligation to their customers to provide staff. It's always the agency workers who get the raw deal I'm afraid. Very very worth finding yourself a salary job and having all the added benefits of employee care, set amount of holidays, pension schemes, general interest in you as a person. Smiley
Sorry to hear you've had a rough time though

Dear all Job Seekers,
I feel i must start this as topic because i have experienced over the last 12 months how unhelpful and time wasting the Job Centre Plus Website is for Graduates and Professionals.
For example the Website often does not get updated as regular as other Job Sites.
Secondly when you do see a job you have to go through the 0845 number before getting the details which can run up a huge phone bill from a landline or outside the Job Centre and most importantly it is time wasting, waiting and speaking to the adviser for the job details.

Why can't web users sign up like on Total Jobs or Job Serve for example which directly gives the Job Seeker the contact details. And most importantly there are hardly or few Jobs for Graduates or a Professionals eg: Teaching, Nursing, Media and IT.  I say this because iam a regular user of the Recruitment sites and have also joined many Agencies whom take my details but never seem to have long term work or work for Graduates and Professionals but rather Temp, Part Time work.

What do you think? What is your experience?
P.S I have stated this to the my Local Job Centre. Undecided
